Volunteer with our Team

Windaroo Zoo has an awesome volunteer program. Volunteers start out in a short introduction to the park and the different areas where volunteers are needed. During this time you will meet our staff and get to know the individuals you will work alongside, including other volunteers. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends with a shared passion. Our exceptional staff will then guide you through your tasks that you will be performing until you feel ready to handle them on your own.

Volunteering is great for late teens to adults and is especially great for secondary and university students who want to learn about animals and build valuable work related skills. Many of our college age volunteers get internship offers after volunteering for a year.

There are also weekly team-building workshops that help volunteers explore different aspects of the zoo.

Another great thing about volunteering is that we help work around your schedule, and only require a minimum of two days per week.
