It Doesn't Stop at the Zoo

The Windaroo Zoo is committed to keeping the environment clean and healthy. At the park we apply the "greenest" practices where possible, from concession and food containers, to disposing of animal waste. We believe through good practices and education we can help make the world a better place.

Want to lend a hand and get involved? We run the "Environment" through our learning pavilion and volunteer program. This program educates individuals on practices and small changes they can make in their day to day lives and their communities that will greatly reduce their carbon footprint.

While in the program you will spend most of your time at the zoo participating in conservation activities. During the longer programs groups will go to areas around the community and coastline to clean up areas, plant trees, and learn how we are impacting the environment.

These programs range in length from two weeks up to a full year.
