Windaroo TheaterOur current offerings include:

Koalas in the Wild: Nov 19th 3-5:30pm (intermediate)
This lecture covers recent research conducted about Koalas in the wild. Specifically covering how the family dynamics work, how they interact with other familys, and how mating occurs in young adult Koalas.

A History of Windaroo Zoo: Nov 27th 3-4pm (all levels)
This lecture will start at the beginnings of Windaroo Zoo and travel forward to the modern day. Along the way the lecture will cover how the zoo was originally structured based on the beliefs of the founders as well as Windaroo Zoo's continued effort from the beginning to maintain the best-known practices for animal care and zoo operation.

Animals of the Outback: Dec 1st 4-5pm (intermediate)
This lecture is given by Arthur Davies, a researcher who spent 3 months in the Australian outback conducting research for the zoo. He became more familiar with the animals that we have at Windaroo and how they live in the wild. Arthur's research also looks at how the changing global climate has changed how these animals live in the wild. We have learned a great deal from his research it will greatly benefit the animals of Windaroo.
